Liverpool School for Early Learning prides itself on delivering quality programs for the children in our care, based on current best practices for Early Childhood. With this in mind, our philosophy is based on an Emergent Curriculum and inspired by the teaching in the School of Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy. Liverpool School for Early Learning also implements Australia’s national Early Years Learning Framework, “Belonging, Being and Becoming”. see link http://www.acecqa.gov.au
Liverpool School for Early Learning prides itself on aesthetic environments for young children. The rooms have been thoughtfully set up, designed to encourage creativity and exploration, as well as reflect a warm, home like feeling. As you enter the room you will notice pieces of furniture typical in a home settling as well as natural materials. The layout also encourages learning through play in small groups. This is supported by research, which shows that young children learn a great deal through play.
Liverpool school for Early Learning encourages families to have an active role in the centre and to work closely with staff to form a strong partnership, one that supports and guides children's development and learning during their early years.
The Ragazzi Room | The Ragazzi Room is for our preschool children, it hosts a maximum of 13 children a day (if required) and has a strong school readiness program implemented. In this room the children engage in preparation for big school including practicing name writing, developing fine-motor skills and social skills to aid the children in their start to primary school! In our service we do lots of learning through play! Even though play might not seem important to learning we use play to expand on the children's social skills, independence and more as well as include school capabilities such as learning letters, numbers and shapes into our room environments. Our Preschoolers are led by a team of two educators, one who is an Early childhood teacher and Primary teaching trained, ready to help these young minds grow!
The Amici Room | Our Amici room is perfect for those 2 1/2- to 4-year-olds and is a stepping stone between childcare and our preschool program! The Amici room is staffed by 2 educators, both who are qualified and working towards Early Childhood degrees and have a maximum of 13 children a day (if required)! In Our Amici Room, we continue to develop and foster the children's communication skills, sharing and resilience preparing them for negotiation skills as they get older and transition to school. We begin with the basics of name writing, teaching the students the letters that make up their name and more! We use lots of learning through play as well as intentional teaching to develop the children's learning, preparing them for their preschool year in the Ragazzi Room
The Bambini Room | The Bambini room is a warm welcoming room for 1 to 2 1/2-year-olds (a maximum of 10 children per day) with 2 educators who have a wealth of experience and knowledge in Early Childhood. They also have a semi-attached cot room; all prepared for your little ones to begin and start to learn! In this room, we learn lots about developing our sense of belonging, developing our friendships and emotional regulation skills and more, these are our baby steps in preparation for future schooling! We do lots of learning through play in this room; this helps us learn and make our big milestones such as communicating and walking, develop our motor skills and begin to develop relationships! This is key in helping us develop ready for our transition to the Amici Room.
